BioCytex SA (Marseille) and vasopharm BIOTECH announce that BioCytex has received CE Mark certification for the Platelet VASP assay allowing the test to be marketed in the European Union. The Platelet VASP assay is a cytometric test for monitoring thienopyridine (Plavix©) resistance and is based on the detecting of phosphorylation status of the VASP protein by a specific monoclonal antibody which is proprietary to vasopharm BIOTECH.
